Burnett Youth Learning Centre

Burnett Youth Learning Centre provides learning opportunities and holistic care for youth experiencing learning barriers.  A range of alternatives are offered to young people who want to continue their education.  The aim of the Centre is to assist and support those who may not have achieved well in mainstream education or who exited the education system early.

The Centre is a registered, not-for-profit, alternative school that offers a practical, ‘hands-on’, supported approach to inspire personal learning.  Disengaged youth are offered the opportunity to train with the support of experienced tutors which enables them to be ready to enter the workforce and become a contributing member of society.

Practical partnerships play a vital role in the success of BYLC.  Advisors, sponsors and community links with individuals, agencies and businesses have helped develop specific and personal pathways of learning (or employment) for the students.  Human resources are as necessary as material and financial resources to make the Centre viable in the long-term.

The Centre is also a registered Deductible Gift Recipient which means all financial donations are tax deductible.  However, donations do not need to be restricted to money.  Gifts in kind or other services are always gratefully accepted.  To make a donation or to find out more about Burnett Youth Learning Centre, phone either of the numbers below or send a request through the ‘Contact Us’ page of the Christian Community Ministries website.
